Aoashi (アオアシ)[a] is a Japanese manga series crafted by Yūgo Kobayashi, inspired by a concept from Naohiko Ueno. It has been published in Shogakukan’s seinen manga magazine Weekly Big Comic Spirits since its debut in January 2015. The narrative follows Ashito Aoi, a young football player, as he navigates his experiences and challenges at the Tokyo Esperion youth academy. An adaptation into an anime television series, produced by Production I.G, was broadcast from April to September 2022. A second season, created by TMS Entertainment, is scheduled to launch in 2026. As of January 2025, the manga had sold over 23 million copies. In 2020, it was honored with the 65th Shogakukan Manga Award in the general category.
